Specimen Venous sample collected into Heparinized
Preferred Lithium Heparin Tube (Green Top)
Acceptable Heparinised Blood Gas Syringe
Unacceptable Grossly haemolysed samples are unacceptable

Any green paediatric bullets containing gel with a clot Any Blood Gas sample with a clot Any sample containing a clot is unacceptable

Minimum Volume 3ml Green Top
